Can I use a mock API in production?
No. Mock APIs have no uptime promise and return the same public data to everyone. Use them for prototypes, demos and automated client tests.
How do I test error handling against a mock API?
httpbin has endpoints that return any status code you ask for and that delay the answer, which lets you exercise retry and timeout code.
